Wildlife Safari

This 3 day safari is the best option for visitors who only have a few days in northern Tanzania. Lake Manyara National Park, on the edge of the Rift Valley, is located beneath the rocks of the Manyara Escarpment and boasts magnificent birdlife and breathtaking scenery. Lake Manyara’s alkaline soda is home to a diverse range of birds that thrives in its brackish waters. The Ngorongoro Crater is the only area in the world where you may see the Big “5” animals: lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo.
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) which caters for domestic flights, you will be met by Tanzania Exploration representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. overnight will be at the Mount Meru Hotel where the rhythm of nature pounds to the beat of an African drum, and where life is all about a revival of the senses.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
You will have breakfast at the Hotel. Drive west of Arusha and on to Lake Manyara National park with splendid views of the Great Rift valley wall. Your first encounter will probably be spotting large troupes of Baboons. The park is famous for its tree-climbing Lions. You will visit Lake Manyara an alkaline soda Lake which is home to an incredible array of birdlife that thrives on its brackish waters. Pink flamingo stoops and graze by the thousands of colorful specks against the grey minerals of the lakeshore. Yellow-billed storks swoop and corkscrew on thermal winds rising up from the escarpment, and herons flap their wings against the sun-drenched sky. Even reluctant bird-watchers will find something to watch and marvel at within the national park. Hippos can also be spotted. You will have a packed lunch served at a picnic site. Late afternoon continue short drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Luxury Lodge.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast we head straight to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for game drive, lunch at hippo pool picnic site. The bottom of the crater dotted with watering-holes, shelters almost 30 000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. Ngorongoro is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and surrounded by very steep walls rising 610m from the floor. Covering an area of 259 sq. kms, it is considered to be one of the eighth Wonders of the Natural World and and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a veritable haven for wildlife. After an extensive game drive we head straight back to Arusha on which marks the end of your epic safari.
